  5. It used to be that only musicians made music, and the rest of us listened. But that's all changed. With new Cakewalk Studio, you can easily record, edit, play back, and print music - all from your PC. And you don't have to be a skilled musician to use it.

  8. Cakewalk Home Studio is a multi-track MIDI sequencer for Windows. With Cakewalk, you create and play back music through a sound card or an external MIDI instrument.

  10. Cakewalk lets you "build" music layer by layer - record a drum track; add a bass line; lay down a melody; even insert sound effects from Windows wave files.

  12. Enter, move, or delete notes with the click of your mouse. Adjust volume levels with on-screen faders. And print out selected tracks in high-quality staff notation.

  14. To help get you going, Cakewalk Home Studio includes a collection of load-and-play MIDI sequences. Other song file collections are available from Twelve Tone Systems. Or listen to and play along with thousands of other popular music titles now available in Stand MIDI File format.

  18. EDITING VIEWS
  19. Track/Measure. Modify instrument sounds and other track settings in real time; drag and drop selected measures for quick editing.

  21. Staff. Insert, delete, move notes with your mouse.

  23. Piano Roll. Enter and edit notes in a "piano-roll" grid format; draw note velocity levels.

  25. Event List. View and edit a detailed list of all MIDI events in all selected tracks.

  27. Controller. Use your mouse to draw pitch bends, volume, changes, modulation, and other MIDI Controller data.
